Initial Consultation
We begin with a detailed exploration of your project vision during a no-obligation consultation to discuss…
- How you envision utilizing the project space.
- Insights about your lifestyle that will guide the function and flow of your new space.
- The budget range you have in mind.
- The alignment of the scope of your vision to your preferred budget range.
We work hard to get to know you during this time to help you (and us) confirm if a partnership between us is a good fit for the project. When all agree that a partnership should be struck, a Design & Pre-Construction Agreement will be drawn up to reflect your dream project.
Design meetings begin
We collaborate together to create a design that melds your vision, your needs and your budget. We provide 3D renderings, virtual walkthroughs and hardcopy blueprints to help you visualize the completed project.
- Field Measure for preliminary drawings. Design Tech prepares and presents preliminary floor plans to client based on initial consultation.
- You review and discuss your preliminary floor plans and tell us what you think. We make adjustments based on your feedback.
- We discuss the alignment of the scope of your vision to your preferred budget range.
- We prepare a custom comprehensive selection checklist that clearly documents all design selections made. Selections, pre-fabricated to custom, are made in phases to keep the project moving along.
3D renderings are prepared and submitted to client to reflect design decisions and selections made. Upon approval of the 3D renderings and floor plans, your design is complete and ready for pre-construction! How exciting!
Pre-Construction meetings
Based on your final approved design, a fixed price contract and a project schedule is provided.
- Design Tech will prepare final construction drawing, a project schedule and obtain bids from trade partners based on final drawings.
- Design Tech will apply for relevant permits.
- Design Tech will present the final project cost contract and project schedule to you.
Upon contract approval, a start date will be set and your project will be on it's way to being completed!
Construction Begins!
Construction begins! We manage your project daily as our trusted trade partners bless your home with their expert craftsman skills and your dream becomes a reality!
- We prepare and protect your home for demolition and construction.
- Initiate construction.
- Design Tech owner manages the project on-site daily.
- Design Tech coordinates all trade partners as needed.
- We communicate any issues that arise promptly.
- Regular mid-construction meetings for client and contractor to confirm progress.
- Final walkthrough and completion of project.
When your dream project is complete, we wrap up, clean up and you can enjoy your new space!
